Comeback

Almost two years has passed since I typed the last post in this blog. Such a long time has passed, but yet it doesn't feel that long. I think it's time I start writing again to boost my brain so that it can work harder and more efficient.

Memorable trip to Kuching

My husband and I went to Kuching, Sarawak during our last school holiday. We have been planning on going there since the end of last year. The trip is a 5 days 4 nights trip which is very refreshing and relaxing.

Day 1
We arrived at Kuching Airport around 2 pm and took a taxi to Damai Puri Resort & Spa. We paid RM85 for the cab since the resort is in Santubong, not in the city. It is a nice resort with friendly and helpful staffs. Actually we only booked the deluxe room, however, due to technical reasons, our booked room was not available, so we were upgraded to the Executive Junior which is way more spacious and nice. We spent our time chilling out and just enjoying the views around the hotel.
At night, we had dinner at Elements, one of the resort's restaurants. The food and service was not up to our expectations since this is a high end resort. Nevertheless, we didn't complain and just enjoy it as much as we can :)

Day 2
We ordered room service since our room didn't come with breakfast. The portion is quite large since we shared 1 plate and didn't feel hungry after that. We then walked to Sarawak Cultural Village which is within a walking distance from the resort. We tried some activities there including shooting darts using a blowpipe. We had a nice lunch at the cafe there. Not expensive at all. There are two sessions of cultural shows showcasing the traditional dances of the tribes in Sarawak. One old aunty even pulled me from my seat to dance the traditional Malay dance with her! We had an enjoyable time at the cultural village.

We cancelled our plan to go to Kuching since it started to rain and just head back to the resort. It rained till about 6 pm and then we decided to have dinner at the hotel. This time, we chose the second restaurant at the resort which served Asian cuisine. Ku is the name of that restaurant. We enjoyed the dinner so much that night. The place was practically empty and we had the restaurant to ourselves. The waitress served a plate of prawn crackers with pineapple dipping that tasted superb as our appetiser. The serving size of our main course is HUGE, my husband barely able to finish his food. It's a good thing we didn't order any appetisers or dessert.  The waitress is so nice and friendly. I would give two thumbs up for this place and the chef. :)

Welcome to my blog

It has been a long time since I first created this blog. However during that time, I haven't been inspired to write or post anything here. The MBI (Memperkukuh Bahasa Inggeris) course had bring back my memory about this blog. And here I am, writing for the first time on my blog. Thank you Mr . Cheng for the inputs during that course which made me glide my fingers away on the keyboard writing this.

Here's bits and pieces about myself which I would like to share. I am a teacher by profession and has been stationed at Hulu Perak for the last 4 years. I love cooking, travelling and reading :). However due to my "busy" life, I cant recall when's the last time I read a book for pleasure. Already have been married to a very nice man for quite some time.

Hopefully my blogging will not end here and will continue for a long time.
